BIG NEWS!!! AN MMO IS BORN!!!

Hello world. I apologize for my inactivity, but BIG things have been under way. I am currently a Studio Artist for Full Sail University’s Fine Arts Department, but while I have been educating students, I have been modeling for Burning Dog Entertainment. I am now their Modeling Lead and Recruiter. We have been working on an MMO/Sandbox/RTS called Origins of Malu. It has been sweeping people off of their feet, so we have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help us bless the world with even more amazing features and change the name of gaming as we know it. ROBOT AND ZOMBIE INVASION!!!

I am currently juggling two HUGE projects for two different companies. For Mountainwheel Games, I am making some goofy looking zombie characters based off of their concepts that are sure to melt your heart….. and then eat it. For Full Sail University, I am making a full cast of Weapons Manufacturing and Testing Robots based off my own concept and modeling for the student to use for Rigging lectures and activities.

Character Artist Demo Reel 02/2012

Hello world. I finally finished my second demo reel and I think it is actually worthy of expressing my skills.

 

Combat Harvey Game Character

I have been working on this character of my own concept and likeness as a tribute to my time in the US Marine Corps. He will be given to many students at Full Sail to be used for their studies and animations for training in the game industry. These are screen shots of my nearly developed character.

Ladies and Gentlemen, SPEED SCULPTING!

My Instructors at Full Sail suggested I start working on my modeling abilities on the fly and hone in my skills using ZBrush. So the solution to this is creating Speed Sculpts. The basic idea behind this is to sculpt out the basic forms and features of a model hastily while researching and capturing the targeted appeal of a sculpture.

Lil Dragon Model and Rig Breakdowns

 

I am finished with the rig and blend shapes for this amazing model that I created from the concept  by “Lil Dragons” 2D concept (c) 2007 Kei Acedera, Imaginism Studios. He is animatable, so get your graph editors ready animators!

He is currently being animated for my demo reel by Damian Karwowski and VFX by Kenneth Dietrich. Stay tuned!

Last month of my first internship at Full Sail. Doing a Duo of Game Asset Characters, one hard surface and one abstracted character by CreatureBox. Im in the middle of creating normal maps and textures for them using ZBrush.
